About The Photographer

Hello, I'm so glad you found me!My name is Jakoe, and I consider myself a hobby photographer. I am a fulltime vet tech in the emergency veterinary field, and I have been behind a camera since high school. I have experience with family, newborn, maternity and senior photos but recently have found a passion and focus for pet photography. ​In 2023, I was asked to update my clinics walls with portraits of employee pets, from there I found a way to combine my career with my hobby. Being able to connect with pet parents and capture the unseen members of their family, has been such a joy. The more I looked into pet photography and the tricks of the trade, I fell upon The Tilly Project. Having an understanding of veterinary medicine with the ability to capture love with my lens, has made a bridge to those families looking for comfort in saying goodbye. ​I am located in Denton, Tx and travel all throughout the DFW metroplex to capture your special moments and the ones you love.
